Take a tour of
Ramsey Spinning Infants

The front view of our main building

We have a small, but homely library in school which the children can use for pleasure reading or researching information

There is a small kitchen with a cooker, fridge and freezer and plenty of utensils.
The children always enjoy cooking.

In each classroom there is a 'role play' corner. These are usually based on the topic being covered each half term. It could be a home corner, a pirate ship, the doctor's surgery or even a travel agent.
Role play areas are an excellent way of boosting a child's imagination and supporting their learning further.

Every classroom also has a 'quiet reading' area.
We always encourage reading at Ramsey Spinning Infants - from story books to magazines and even posters. Reading is great fun...

We have 2 playgrounds at Spinning Infants. They have plenty of painted floor activities for the children to use.

The Totem Pole in the middle of the Foundation Stage playground was designed by our own pupils about 5 years ago.

The children in Foundation Stage also have their own outside play area which is secured by a fence. This allows them to access the outdoor curriculum as well as classroom learning.

The sand area

We have recently introduced a gardening area to the outdoor classroom

Spinning Infants has a large playing field used for playtimes, sports day and games lessons. Their is also a 'trim trail' where the children can climb and balance

The KS 1 playground

Their is a large covered area where the children can have their lunch in the warmer weather. The 'story tree' is a quiet area for classes to enjoy stories with their teacher.

We have 9 classrooms altogether and every room now has an interactive whiteboard.
At Spinning Infants we pride ourselves on a very high standard of ICT teaching and this is just one of many ways our children can access the curriculum using ICT.
