Handwashing Week

We have been very lucky to have a visit from the School Health Assistants who travel around schools in Cambridgeshire raising awareness about issues such as hand washing, dental care and healthy eating. 

Children were shown how to wash their hands 'effectively' and then they looked at them under a UV light which helps to show up any germs which were not washed away. 

The children had great fun taking part in this activity and have learned how important hand washing is!

Hooray!

With all the support from parents and children on MAGPAS Green Day and Jeans for Genes day we managed to raise...

£171 and £146 respectively.

Ramsey Fire Service

Ramsey Fire Service came to visit in a fire engine. The children learned about the tools used by the firemen and also saw how powerful the hoses can be.

The Great Fen Project

Ramsey Spinning Infants Year 2 children have been involved with the Great Fen Project during 2008-09

This has included activities such as visiting the Fen and taking part in a sound walk. 

As part of the project we also visited Peterborough Cathedral to see a proper Orchestra in action.  

Ramsey Fun Run 2009

The children who took part in the fun run were presented with their medals by Pat Taylor - Mayor of Ramsey and Chris Randall - Chair of Ramsey Rotary Club

Multi-Cultural Week

As part of our multi-cultural week celebrations children in Yr 2 visited the 'Taste of the East' restaurant in Ramsey.  They were treated to a full 3 course meal.

The Year 1 wedding

The Year 1 children learned about spcial ceremonies in R.E.

To reinforce their learning the teachiers organised for a wedding to take place in school. 

Mr Bright played the part of the Vicar and the children all had special parts to play including:

Bride, Groom, Parents of the Bride and Groom, Bridesmaids, Ushers and congregation.

It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone enjoyed themselves.
